Deeply sweet and clean, a perfect coffee as summer transitions to fall.

Direct from the farm of Meko Gutierrez, for a limited time La Prima Espresso Company offers rare shade-grown Caturra coffee from Colombia. Meko's farm is Rosa Florida (Blossomed Rose) in the municipality of Arboleda, Nariño, a locale known for producing the finest Colombian specialty coffee.

Mr. Gutierrez's coffee grows among the shade of orange, tangerine, plantain, and banana trees.  The handcraft culture of the coffee process, the small coffee farm, and the influence of volcanic soils and trade winds contribute to this coffee's outstanding character. Mr. Gutierrez uses residues from washed beans to make compost and feed coffee plants in a cycle that is environmentally sustainable.
